    Organization Overview 

    Democracy Rising is a fiscally sponsored project of NEO Philanthropy. We launched in the summer of 2020 with a mission to deeply engage communities in the process of transforming our democracy. We strive to create a truly multiracial, multicultural democracy that is of the people, by the people, and for the people. To this end, we work directly with local leaders and communities that are reimagining and transforming democracy. Together we build relationships, effective organizing and education strategies, and ensure the just implementation of reforms.
