China California Heart Watch

The China California Heart Watch is a not-for-profit public charity whose missions is to further understand and provide relief to the problems associated with hypertension and heart disease in the rural areas of Yunnan Province, China. We invite students, particularly those interested in future careers in medicine, public health or related fields to participate in one of several externships this year. These externships involve first-hand experiences of medical problems – particularly cardiovascular problems – and care in impoverished communities, where access to high-quality medical services is very limited. We provide free training to rural doctors and nurses and provide free expert cardiac care to poor children with congenital heart disease.
