The Fairy Godsister, Inc.

The Fairy Godsister, Inc. (FGS), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in the state of New York, dedicated to supporting women and girls through the crucial developmental ages of 16-24. Our unique mentoring program aligns mentors and mentees with an eye towards the development of organic sisterly relationships. Through careful assessment, training, and ongoing support, FGS prioritizes the success of both mentors and mentees. Mentors work with young women to develop leadership skills, ensure academic success, and provide guidance towards personal and emotional growth. The organization takes a holistic approach by focusing on all concerns of the mentee, providing her with an "older sister" that can walk her through issues, share advice, provide positive and practical life guidance, reinforce self-esteem, and help build confidence towards maximizing her potential.
