About Us
PR/PR/PR is a community of communicators working for the public good.
Amanda Cooper started the Progressive_PR_NYC Yahoo! Group in 2002. What started as a few New Yorkers has grown to 1100+ members (as of early 2014) scattered around the world.
Early on Amanda brought on some other leaders in the field and created a steering committee to take the virtual Group offline and make it something more.
Over the years, we've had dozens of events, often with notables offering words of wisdom, always for free (some of which are archived).
Through opportunities to improve skills, share resources and work together, we help each other to be more successful. This is our mission not only because it serves us in our professional lives, but also because we believe progressive issues, causes and organizations need improved communications capacities and strategies in order to win issues and campaigns.
