HIV Prevention Services (The Berkeley Free Clinic)

About Us

HIV Prevention Services at The Berkeley Free Clinic provides free anonymous and confidential HIV test counseling as well as education, social work, and outreach services. We operate from a harm reduction, client-centered model, meaning we emphasize meeting clients where they are at. Rather than moralizing or lecturing, we provide people with the knowledge and resources they need to make empowered decisions about their health.

As part of the Berkeley Free Clinic, we believe that healthcare is a human right - not a commodity. Our clinic is run entirely by volunteers and all of our services are completely free. The Berkeley Free Clinic has been providing free, low-barrier medical services to anyone who needs them since 1969. HIV Prevention Services has been a part of the Berkeley Free Clinic since 1989.
