  • About Us

The Snow Leopard Trust is dedicated to the conservation of the endangered snow leopard and its mountain ecosystem through a balanced approach that considers the needs of the local people and the environment.

Based in Seattle, Washington, we operate a wide range of conservation and education programs in five of the 12 snow leopard range countries of central Asia, working cooperatively with local people, governments, partner organizations, educational and research groups, zoos, and NGOs.

Our goal is to use the latest sound scientific practices to better understand snow leopard behavior/habitat, develop conservation programs designed around their needs, and build local partnerships to help sustain our programs and foster community education and development.
