Feed the Children Vallarta (formerly Children of the Dump)

We are a non-profit organisation providing educational opportunities for children in some of the most disadvantaged communities in Puerto Vallarta, who were not receiving even a primary school education before we started our operations.

In practice, this involves running after-school programmes, providing food (since we quickly realised that the children's ability to learn was severely hindered by hunger and malnourishment), running daycare centres for the working mothers of the community and various smaller schemes.

We are a small organisation that has seen real results and has great potential to grow and branch out along innovative new avenues. For motivated people, this could be an opportunity to implement a range of innovative new projects and see a real difference in the communities we work with.
