About Us
Excel Public Charter School made history by being selected as one of Washington state's first public charter schools. We are a public, non-selective school that is free and open to all students. In August 2015, we will open our doors to our first group of 6th and 7th grade students. Each year, we will expand until we reach grades 6-12 in 2021.
Excel's mission is to provide all students an academically rigorous, STEM-focused, college preparatory education that prepares them for both academic and personal success in college and career. Importantly, we strive to empower our students to become agents of positive change in their local communities through character education and culturally responsive pedagogy.
