About Us
Clearpool, Inc. is an educational non-profit that works with children from underresourced schools in New York City whose educational needs are not being met. Clearpool recognizes that students learn in a variety of ways and that the traditional 6-hour, 8-month calendar no longer meets the needs of NYC children and families. Based on that understanding, over the past ten years Clearpool has developed an innovative educational model to effect change in the New York City public school system. The model includes: - dual campus education (urban and rural sites) - an extended school day and year - project-based learning - low student-teacher ratios -consistent family involvment
