National Capital Chapter for UN Women US National Committee

  • About Us

The National Capital Chapter is one of ten chapters in the United States working to support the UN Women US National Committee's mission of “working toward a world where women live free from violence, poverty and inequality”.

Together with the U.S. National Committee for UN Women, the National Capital Chapter raises funds and awareness to support UN Women’s projects around the world, enhancing women's economic and security rights, ending violence against women, reducing the prevalence of HIV/AIDS among women and girls, and advancing gender justice in democratic governance in stable and fragile states.
