About Us
Y Care International, the international relief and development agency of the YMCA in the UK and Ireland, was co-founded by Terry Waite CBE in 1984. We work in partnership with young people through the global YMCA movement, supporting grass roots development projects in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. Our aims and objectives are to address the needs and contributions of children and young people who face the severest of economic and social conditions, helping to empower them and their communities to find alternatives to a future of poverty and disadvantage.
