About Us

The Energy Innovation Reform Project is a nonprofit organization that promotes the development of advanced energy technologies and practices that improve the affordability, reliability, safety and security of American energy supplies and our energy economy. EIRP advocates for public policies and private-sector initiatives that promote sustained innovation in, and commercialization of, advanced energy technologies, focusing on strategically significant technologies that can compete in global energy markets.

We believe in the promise of energy innovation—and the importance of being realistic about what it will take to get there. Innovation is the key to a better energy future for America and we are working to make American energy innovation policies more efficient and effective, reflecting the realities of national and international energy markets and the vital role that energy plays in our lives.
