Bronx Charter School for the Arts (Bronx Arts) is a public school founded on the principle that a rich and vibrant background in the arts is a key component of achieving academic excellence. Bronx Charter School for the Arts (Bronx Arts) is a joyful, high-performing K–8 public charter school rooted in the belief that creativity and academic excellence go hand in hand. Since opening our doors in 2006, we have empowered students to think boldly, create fearlessly, and rise with purpose. Our mission is to ensure that every child—regardless of zip code—has access to an exceptional education enriched by the arts.

Serving more than 600 students across two campuses in the Hunts Point and Soundview communities of the Bronx, Bronx Arts is proud to be one of the highest-performing schools in District 8. Our students engage in a rigorous academic program alongside rich experiences in visual arts, music, dance, theater, and creative expression. We believe joy is not a reward for learning—it is the strategy.
