About Us

The Women's International League for Peace and Freedom's VISION WILPF envisions a transformed world at peace, where there is racial, social and economic justice for all people everywhere: -a world in which the needs of all people are met in a fair and equitable manner -in which all people equally participate in making the decisions that affect them, -in which the interconnected web of life is acknowledged and celebrated in diverse ways and communities -and in which societies are designed and organized for sustainable existence.

MISSION WILPF members create the peaceful transformation they wish to see in the world by making connections that inspire action: -providing continuity with the past so that knowledge of historical events and patterns informs current activities for change. -linking and challenging root causes of oppression, especialy racism, sexism, heterosexism, militarism, economic disparity, and political disempowerment; -building bridges between people from all walks of life and all over the world; -creating analysis and action that reflect and reinforce each other; and

Latest Initiative: Project Congo From the glamour and rarity of diamonds to the common cell phone, African resources flow out of the country through multi-national funnels. This heinous mechanism benefits foreign interests and, meanwhile, guts the local economy. This project raises awareness about sexual violence in the CONGO and connecting unbridled brutality to externalized controls.
