California Health Care Coalition

The California Health Care Coalition is an alliance of unions, health and welfare funds, and employers determined to reduce health costs without eroding health benefits.

Our work is premised on labor-management cooperation, education and activation of our constituency, and collective, direct negotiations with health plans and providers on price, quality and information disclosure.

We oppose as counterproductive all efforts to make health care more expensive for those who need it. Cost shifting does nothing to address excessive industry prices, inappropriate, physician-driven utilization, and poor quality care that are the main controllable reasons for medical inflation today.
