The KICKS Project
The KICKS Project is an initiative that promotes the implementation of local works-projects through team building via the game of soccer. KICKS Projects focus on gathering teams of volunteers to implement humanitarian efforts, often teaming with established charities in various countries. These projects frequently involve: distribution of mosquito nets, water purification initiatives and lessons in HIV awareness & indoctrination.
Most importantly, The KICKS Project aims to integrate American volunteers into global communities in need by capitalizing on the universal language of soccer. This natural icebreaker and lesson in teamwork paves the way for essential dialogue paramount to the survival of settlements on the brink of collapse. While lessons include the use of soccer as a team building activity, soccer is merely the vehicle we use to build trust and commonality that is fundamental in the initial success of a works project.
