Prosperity Candle

Prosperity Candle is a small social enterprise located in Easthampton, MA that supports women refugees and artisans through candle making. We believe every product represents the opportunity to help make the world a better place, and support the fair trade principles of gender equity, respect for the environment, and living wages in our studio. Prosperity Candle is a certified B-Corp for social and environmental responsibility.

We believe in contributing to the common good, and in shared prosperity where everyone everywhere has the opportunity to thrive. Every candle is poured by hand by a woman artisan who is building a brighter future for herself and her family after living many years as a refugee. Our candle-makers earn living wages and are relocated to the U.S. from refugee camps through UN and federal programs. 

We believe that welcoming refugee families and helping them to build new lives lies at the foundation of American values. Or as someone else more eloquently put it, "Welcoming refugees is what this country does best... it's the Statue of Liberty in action." 

Every candle poured, gift-wrapped and sent to its new home symbolizes a new beginning for women refugees. We are grateful to be a part of an embracing community that makes this all possible.
