About Us
StarShea Ltd is a social business dedicated to the commercialization of Shea nuts and butter produced by a network of 15,000 women in North-Ghana, and ambitions to develop itself as a supplier for international companies involved in the sourcing and transformation of Shea butter in cosmetic industry.
StarShea is the result of a project supported by the French based NGO PlaNet Finance, the European Union and SAP, the Germany based business software leader, aiming at the empowerment of female Shea butter producers through the building of a fairer value chain and the providing of financial services and trainings to these women.
Today, StarShea is able to offer a premium quality in significant volumes, while offering a fair price to female producers for their work.
