Juntos has developed a turnkey, text-messaged based platform that deepens bank and MFI clients’ engagement, and increases their usage of accounts. Around the world, millions of cash-based households are opening bank accounts for the very first time. Yet globally, only 29% of mobile money users were active in 2013, and in the past 12 months, only 43% of account users set aside money for savings. Through the Juntos platform, we have succeeded in conducting mass-customized, automated, two-way SMS conversations with a financial service provider’s new customers that changes the way they think and feel about their money.
