    Position Overview

    The Volunteer App Developer will play a key role in the development and refinement of The Seats Foundation's mobile application. This position is ideal for an experienced developer with a passion for civic engagement, technology, and social impact.

    You will work closely with the tech team to design, implement, and maintain features that help bridge the gap between citizens and their elected officials. This is a flexible, remote role, perfect for someone looking to make an impact while working on a meaningful project.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • App Development: Collaborate on designing and developing new features and functionality for our mobile app.
    • Bug Fixing & Maintenance: Identify and fix bugs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the app runs smoothly for users.
    • Technical Collaboration: Work closely with the tech team, designers, and project managers to ensure the app meets user needs and project goals.
    • Code Review: Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices in code quality and performance.
    • Testing & Optimization: Conduct testing to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
    • User Feedback Integration: Incorporate user feedback and suggestions into future iterations of the app.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience: Proven experience in mobile app development (Android, iOS, or cross-platform frameworks like React Native or Flutter).
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in languages like Java, Swift, Dart, or JavaScript.
    • Problem-Solving: Strong debugging skills and ability to optimize app performance.
    • Collaboration: Comfortable working in a remote, collaborative team environment with designers and project managers.
