About Wamina

Wamina is a social enterprise tackling period poverty in Mozambique since 2016. We have distributed over 300,000 reusable menstrual pads and provided menstrual health education to more than 10,000 students. Our clients include leading NGOs, CSR partners, and schools. We are also developing sexual and reproductive health and sexual abuse prevention courses. We are scaling our impact and looking for motivated interns to join our mission.

Internship Overview

As a Partnerships & Communications Intern, you will support Wamina in strengthening its relationships with NGOs, schools, and corporate partners while amplifying its impact story. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in partnership outreach, impact communications, and program engagement within a dynamic social enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership Outreach & Support

• Research and map potential NGO, school, and CSR partners.
• Support follow-up with 500+ contacts collected at recent fairs and events.
• Assist in drafting proposals, presentations, and follow-up communications.
• Update and maintain our partner contact database (CRM).

Communications & Campaigns

• Reactivate Wamina’s Instagram and LinkedIn pages with fresh, professional content.
• Draft posts highlighting Wamina’s impact, partnerships, and initiatives.
• Design Canva visuals (templates provided) for campaigns (e.g., Women’s Day, CSR outreach).
• Monitor social media engagement and suggest improvements.

Support Tasks

• Assist in preparing monthly reports and partnership dashboards.
• Help organize outreach campaigns (WhatsApp + email).
• Collect and package impact stories for donor and partner communication.

Ideal Candidate

• Background in communications, international development, or business (or currently studying).
• Strong writing and research skills.
• Comfortable using Canva, Excel/Google Sheets, and social media platforms.
• Proactive, organized, and passionate about gender equality and social impact.
