    DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Manager of Operations drives organizational efficiency and culture by supporting People Operations, business systems, and strategic execution, enjoying partnership with and access to organizational leadership. This role coordinates the employee lifecycle, leads performance and engagement initiatives, ensures smooth day-to-day operations, and supports the implementation of strategic goals.

    People Operations

    • Serve as a culture leader within the organization by providing inspiration and an example to the team by living out CSP’s values, identifying opportunities to reinforce CSP’s mission and vision, and supporting the establishment of policies and procedures that promote company culture
    • Own and continuously improve the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and performance management
    • Lead the performance management cycle, including annual goal- setting, performance reviews, and continuous feedback practices using tools like CultureAmp
    • Partner with the COO and CEO to assess and strengthen employee engagement and retention initiatives using data and feedback
    • Manage external HR vendor relationships to ensure organization stays current on employment law, risk, and compliance best practices
    • Coordinate learning and development opportunities and support internal culture- building initiatives (e.g. all team retreats, D&I efforts, team- wide recognition systems, etc.)

    Business Operations

    • Manage daily operations, creating systems & procedures that lead to operational excellence
    • Maintain business certifications, registrations, and compliance documentation
    • Support the vendor procurement and compliance process in partnership with business development and finance
    • Manage contracts and coordinate timely processing of invoices and payments
    • Monitor operational processes for efficiency and recommend improvements where needed

    Strategy Execution & Alignment

    • Partner w/ COO to implement long-term strategy for growth
    • Track progress on strategic initiatives and maintain shared tools for planning and reporting
    • Foster collaboration and alignment across various departments to ensure cohesive execution of growth strategies
    • Support the leadership team in communicating organizational priorities and strategic goals across the team

    The ideal candidate is a self- directed, solutions- oriented operations professional who thrives in a fast- paced, mission- driven environment. They bring a balance of strategic thinking, strong execution, and people- centered communication to their work. The candidate selected to fill this position will report to Cause Strategy Partners’ Chief Operating Officer and will be expected to perform their work in accord with the values of Cause Strategy Partners. They must be adept at a number of core competencies, including:

    1. Strong foundation in people and/or business operations – Demonstrated 2+ years experience in people and/or business operations with the ability to support a small, dynamic team and contribute to building efficient systems and processes.
    2. Exceptional verbal/ written communication and facilitation skills – Clear, professional communication with the ability to engage varied stakeholders across multiple formats. Skilled in designing and delivering engaging professional development sessions grounded in data, best practices, and organizational strategy.
    3. Excellent time and project management skillsThe ability to balance priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through and take initiative with minimal oversight
    4. Comfort navigating ambiguity with a flexible mindset and a proactive approach to solving problems
    5. Strong attention to detail, discretion with sensitive information, and sound judgement in balancing organizational needs with individual concerns.
    6. Creativity and collaborative mindset – Demonstrated ability to contribute innovative ideas, embrace new perspectives, and work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
    7. Familiarity with the social impact sector – Demonstrated interest in employee engagement, leadership development, and nonprofit governance; understanding of the broader social impact landscape is highly valued.

    Please​ ​note​ ​the​ ​following​ ​expectations​ ​for​ this role:

    • Balanced remote and in person work: Cause Strategy Partners’ headquarters are in New York City with organizational leadership based in the NYC and Washington, DC metropolitan areas. The Manager of Operations will work remotely most days but will be expected to join in- person meetings and retreats. As such, candidates should be based in the NYC or Washington, DC metropolitan areas.
    • Equipment and technology: The Manager of Operations will be responsible for using their own computer, phone and other necessary technology. Google Voice services can be provided. All remote personnel are expected to have a computer system which can support remote work applications and meetings, including a reliable, stable internet connection.
    • Work schedule: Cause Strategy Partners’ regular business hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET), Monday through Friday.
    • Employment Eligibility Verification: In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

    COMPENSATION

    The compensation for this position is expected to be between $75,000 to $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus eligibility for an annual bonus. This role also qualifies for participation in company health and retirement matching benefits. This full-time position is eligible for generous paid time off, two volunteer days off each year, paid sick leave, and paid parental leave (after having worked 52 consecutive weeks).
