You don’t always need a teaching degree to make a difference in the lives of children, young people, or adults. Outside of traditional classroom settings, finding a job in education can encompass a variety of positions, including Office Manager, Graduate Advisor, and Major Gifts Officer—but don’t worry, there are a few teaching positions listed below, too.

1. Urban Alliance, Baltimore, MD
This nonprofit’s mission is to empower under-resourced youth to aspire, work, and succeed through paid-internships, formal training, and mentoring. They are hiring a Program Coordinator – 11th Grade Initiative to work in a hybrid capacity.
2. Mixteca Organization Inc., Brooklyn, NY
This nonprofit was established by community members in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park neighborhood to provide access to critical educational, health, social, and employment services to support the burgeoning Mexican and Latino immigrant community. They are hiring an Education Program Coordinator for an onsite position.
3. School of Visual Arts, New York, NY
The School of Visual Arts (SVA) has been a leader in the education of artists, designers, and creative professionals for nearly seven decades. Comprised of more than 6,000 students at its Manhattan campus and 35,000 alumni in 100 countries, SVA also represents one of the most influential artistic communities in the world. They are hiring an Assistant to the Chair and a Temporary Director of Operations/Graduate Advisor to work in hybrid capacities.
4. Partnership Schools, New York, NY
This nonprofit is a pioneering network of seven independent, inner-city, Pre-K-8th grade Catholic schools in the South Bronx and Harlem. Their mission is to help students sustain and leverage the gains they make in Pre-K through 8th grade to be sure they are prepared for high school, college, and careers in order to be productive, caring members of their communities. They are hiring for two onsite positions: Major Gifts Officer and Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst.
5. Bridgewater State University, Bridgewater, MA
This university has worked to ensure that students receive an accessible, affordable, and exceptional education. They are hiring a Staff Associate, Field Education Specialist to work onsite.
6. UTEC, Lowell, MA
This nonprofit’s mission is to ignite and nurture the ambition of disengaged youth to trade violence and poverty for social and economic success. They engage youth in workforce development and educational programs, as well as provide mental health services and intensive case management. They are hiring a Lead Teacher - Infant, Toddler, Preschool to work in a hybrid capacity.
7. Colegio Americano del Sur, Santa Lucía Cotzumalguapa, Guatemala
This nonprofit’s mission is to provide support for students in becoming bilingual and having the possibility of unlimited choices in the future. They aim to expose students to their surrounding environments and communities in order to be prepared to lead when given the opportunity. They are hiring for six onsite teaching positions based in Guatemala.
8. Dallas Afterschool, Dallas, TX
This organization’s mission is to improve the quality of afterschool and summer programs in Dallas County through the sharing of program resources to support students with social, emotional, and academic development. They are hiring a Partnership Coach (Programs) to work in a hybrid capacity.
9. Crane Country Day School, Santa Barbara, CA
Crane Country Day School is a co-educational Kindergarten-8th grade independent day school and is dedicated to providing an experiential education characterized by a thoughtful balance of academic challenge and creative expression. They are hiring a School Nurse to work onsite.
10. Camino Nuevo Charter Academy, Los Angeles, CA
Camino Nuevo Charter Academy’s mission is to educate students in a college preparatory program to become literate, critical, and independent problem solvers who are agents of social justice with sensitivity toward the world around them. They are hiring a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to work onsite.
