    Description

Curious Shapes is looking for a creative, entrepreneurial & collaborative intern to support our social media strategy and virtual events. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in activism, communications, and movement-building and who has a passion for branding, content development, and audience engagement.

The intern will specifically work on The Big Hope, a new campaign designed to counter despair, burnout, and resignation by building joyful, strategic, community-rooted resistance. The project aims to bring people together from across the country with a diverse range of background and experiences to learn from activists and movements around the world and collectively build the skills and strategies we need in this moment.

As our intern, you’ll help lead the way in how we show up online and connect virtually. You’ll support social media strategy, help produce digital content, and assist with event planning for a campaign that’s equal parts serious and joyful — tackling big issues while making space for ridiculousness, creativity, humor, and collective care.

    The intern will:

    • Collaborate on social media strategy and content for The Big Hope project, from writing posts to creating visuals
    • Support virtual events — including workshops, reading groups, and community calls — that center resilience, organizing, and connection
    • Help us amplify learnings from global movements and community organizing efforts
    • Contribute to the overall voice and tone of the campaign — one rooted in solidarity, joy, and strategic hope
    • Take initiative and bring your ideas — we want your perspective to shape the work

    Requirements:

    • Strong writing and communication skills (especially for digital platforms)
    • Passion for & Experience managing social media accounts and building audiences
    • A creative, collaborative approach to storytelling and content creation
    • Interest in activism, movement building, or community resilience
    • Comfort with remote work and tools like Canva, Zoom, Google Workspace, and social platforms
    • A love of reading and learning
    • Bonus: experience organizing events, creating media, or working with campaigns
