    AccentCare Hospice of Mississippi - Direct Patient/Family Companion Volunteers

    AccentCare Hospice of Jackson is looking for Volunteers to visit patients throughout the metro Jackson area. As a Hospice Patient Companionship Volunteer, you will visit patients and their caregivers on a regular basis to provide:

    • Emotional support
    • Social Interaction
    • Supportive listening
    • Companionship
    • Respite and/or Practical Support
    • Communicate concerns and/or needs on a regular and timely basis.

    Volunteers set their own levels of commitment and travel based on their available time and the needs of our patients.

    How to Join

    • Driver's License Needed
    • Background Check
    • Drug Screen
    • Must be at least 18
    • Orientation and Training
    • 1-2 hours per week but can be flexible based on your schedule.
    • COVID vaccination or exemption.
