Spookeasy: Blackout Party Volunteer

St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center educates and empowers individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities to realize their full potential. Our annual Halloween party, Spookeasy: Blackout Party event raises money for our student holiday party.

Event Information:

Saturday, October 11th

Must be 21+

Costumes Encouraged!

All volunteers are encouraged to dress in costume to match the spooky theme!

Free parking!

Shifts:

Setup (2-3 people)

Time: 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM

Duties:

• setting up registration table
• setting up other events, whatever is needed

Registration (4–5 people)

Time: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Duties:

• Greet guests upon arrival
• Check guest IDs (especially those under 35)
• Apply wristbands for entry

Opportunity Drawing Setup & Management (2 people)

Time: 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM

Duties:

• Set up the drawing table/area
• Sell drawing tickets
• Promote ticket sales throughout the event

Maintenance (2 people)

Time: 6:30-10:30 pm

Duties:

• Keeping area clean of trash
• Refilling water stations
• Restocking Ice for Bars

VIP Gate Check (2 people)

Time: 5:15 PM – 10:00 PM

Duties:

• Monitor the VIP gate
• Ensure only guests with wristbands are allowed in

VIP Servers/Runners (5–6 people)

Time: 5:15 PM – 10:00 PM

Duties:

• Serve drinks and snacks to VIP guests
• Run items as needed between service and event areas
