Fellowship Summary
Clinical Fellows work under the supervision of the Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation’s (CHLPI) Health Law and Policy Clinic (HLPC) clinical instructors to analyze, explain and promote better public understanding of the laws regulating the healthcare system; to advocate for legal, regulatory, and policy reforms to expand access to high-quality healthcare; to reduce health disparities; to address social determinants of health; and to promote more equitable and effective health and public health systems. To meet these goals, Clinical Fellows work with diverse stakeholders, including consumers, advocates, community-based organizations, health and social services professionals, government officials and others, as well as with HLPC’s clinical staff and students. The fellowship represents a unique opportunity to work within Harvard Law School’s clinical program, to join a dynamic public interest and clinical teaching health and public health law and policy clinic, and to practice in burgeoning areas of state and national importance. Salary
Compensation for the fellowship (which includes salary and benefits) is competitive with other public interest fellowships. Base fellowship salary amount (not including benefits) is $68,000 for each year of the fellowship.
