    Candidate Profile

    This job is for you if you are excited about growing our programs by expanding the base of major donors and ramping up institutional and corporate giving. As a leader you will experience the joy and sense of accomplishment for directly impacting the lives of critically ill children, young adults and their families.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assess existing fundraising efforts and the potential for additional major gifts, private and corporate foundations, government grants, and special events
    • Create and execute a strategic fundraising plan to pursue these opportunities
    • Design digital campaigns using social media
    • Introduce best practices in stewardship aimed at achieving lasting relationships with donors
    • Organize a more robust monthly giving campaign and explore planned giving
    • Oversee our signature Annual Dirty Socks 5K Run & Walkathon, including the silent auction, and follow up with attendees and corporate sponsors
    • Create new cultivation events such as house parties
    • Collaborate with Board to create the annual operating budget
    • Train board and staff to create a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization

    Required Skills and Experience

    • A minimum of 7 years of senior level experience in nonprofit development including major gifts, foundation and corporate giving
    • Track record of closing principal gifts of at least six figures
    • Proven ability to research, write and obtain federal, state, and private foundation grants
    • Knowledge of development principles, fundraising ethics, laws and regulations concerning charitable contributions

    Compensation and Benefits

    Salary: $90,000-$100,000 based on experience

    Benefits:

    15 Paid Time off Days (Years 1-3)

    20 Paid Time off Days (Years 3 +)

    10 paid holidays

    Health benefits provided

    Schedule: Hybrid in Miami, FL
