    The Generations For Peace Institute, the research and development arm of Generations For Peace, is seeking a motivated Research and Advocacy Intern to join our team.

    Generations For Peace is a leading international non-governmental peacebuilding organisation founded by HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein of Jordan in 2007 GFP has a footprint in 52 countries in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. Our oprogrammes have benefitted over 1.5 million children, youth and adults with conflict transformation through sport, art, empowerment, dialogue, and advocacy, and media activities.

    Since 2010, GFPI has been a thought leader in youth and peacebuilding, conducting cutting-edge research, developing resources, engaging in policy dialogue, and amplifying the voices of local communities. Our work combines evidence-based peacebuilding practices with inclusive and transformative learning approaches.

    Role Overview:

    The Research and Advocacy Intern will support our work in:

    • Supporting research activities on peacebuilding and related themes.
    • Assisting in the design and implementation of advocacy initiatives.
    • Supporting outreach and engagement efforts, including conferences, round tables, webinars and policy dialogues.
    • Contributing to resource development, including publications, briefs, and knowledge products.
    • Providing logistical and administrative support for engagement events.

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Graduate student or recent graduate in Peace and Conflict Studies, International Relations, Political Science, Sociology, Development Studies, or related fields.
    • Strong interest in research, advocacy, and event management.
    • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills in English and Arabic.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Familiarity with peacebuilding, youth engagement, or policy advocacy is a plus.

    Internship Details:

    • Location: Amman, Jordan (hybrid arrangement is possible)
    • Commitment: Flexible/ part-time or full-time
    • Duration: 3 months (with the possibility of extension)
    • Start Date: Rolling basis – applications reviewed as they are received.​
