    Description

    Summary

Art in Tanzania uses photography in daily operations to give Visibility to community programs. Photographing Tanzania also includes encounters with wildlife and exposures that promote social development, human rights, and specific advocacy content creation.

    Details

Art in Tanzania has been operating since 1996. We receive approximately 250 participants in our community placements each year.

Art in Tanzania's coalition, in partnership with UNICEF, Save the Children, and other organisations, has created numerous social media platforms through which we actively promote the programs.

Participating in Art in Tanzania's photography program is a real-time artistic adventure. Your photography skills can also make a real social difference.

The current focus is on utilising music as a tool to combat corruption through the Swiss Embassy grant program.

We use our social media pages for advocacy work. Our Facebook pages have over 50,000 followers.

Academic-level team leaders are supervising your internship daily. Additionally, we monitor your progress with a weekly plan and reporting system to ensure you make good progress in your study program.

The internship outcome is learning to apply and gain experience implementing your education in developing country conditions with limited capacity, as well as a deeper understanding of the opportunities in a fast-growing economy.

Work hours are 6-8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

The program is ongoing, so the start dates are adjustable. Your placement is tailored to your background, experience, and interests, empowering our daily work with the communities.

Daily tasks include practical fieldwork, planning, reporting, and visibility work.

The start and end dates are flexible, as all programs are ongoing, many having been in operation since 1996.

You and your visiting friends can enjoy low-cost, sustainable safaris and tours.

We commonly have 15-40 students from different parts of the world, representing over 400 universities with which we cooperate, and a variety of professions.

The Benefits and Perks are as follows:

Accommodation and meals are personal expenses. For 1-13 weeks, EUR 175 per week covers accommodation with breakfast and dinner, the student compound facilities, and professional tutoring. From week 14 onwards, the cost is EUR 125 per week.
