    Description

The Opportunity Starts at Home (OSAH) campaign, led by National Low Income Housing Coalition, is building a multi-sector movement to generate widespread support for federal policies that correct long-standing racial inequities and economic injustices by ensuring quality housing for people with low incomes.

OSAH seeks an intern to assist with building the coalition and advancing affordable housing solutions.

Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to supporting campaign partners, developing campaign materials, and advancing the campaign’s core housing solutions. The intern will work closely with the Director and Coordinator on upcoming projects including fall events, multi-sector fact sheets, partner recruitment, state-specific polling, and campaign podcasting. Alongside campaign projects, the intern will have an opportunity to increase expertise in a specific sector (e.g. education, health, mental health, early childhood development, economic mobility) by engaging new partners and developing materials.

OSAH seeks an intern with strong written and oral communications skills, strong organizational skills, a demonstrated commitment to racial equity, social justice, innovation, and creativity.

This is a remote or hybrid position depending the location, and a modest stipend is provided. Interested students should submit their resume and cover letter to Chantelle Wilkinson, National Campaign Director, via email at: cwilkinson@nlihc.org.
