    Description

    About the organization

Glasswing International is an innovative nonprofit that addresses poverty and violence through public-education, health, and community-empowerment programs. Glasswing provides educational and enrichment opportunities for at-risk children and youth in Latin America, the Caribbean, and New York City, enabling them to thrive despite adversity.

    About the position

Glasswing is seeking an intern to support our digital communications and outreach. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about Glasswing’s mission and who wants to gain experience at a visible and respected nonprofit. Reporting to the US Director of Communications, this role is ideal for a self-starting, fast-learning, and creative individual. The intern will be part of a small and dynamic team, assisting with:

    • Marketing materials such as website and newsletter content
    • Event communications before and after our annual gala
    • Communications related to donor appreciation and relationship management
    • Social media content, engagement, and support (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook)
    • General communications and marketing support

The ideal candidate will have an interest in social good and nonprofits generally, and specifically a propensity for marketing, content, and communications. They should also be interested in fundraising and development. We’re seeking someone with a “can-do” attitude who works well with others and is skilled at multitasking.

This role is hybrid, with on-site days at Glasswing’s New York office in the Financial District. Occasionally, the intern may also visit schools where Glasswing has programs in New York City, to learn and communicate about our on-the-ground work.

    Additional Qualifications

    • Current or recent enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate degree program, with interest in marketing or communications
    • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail
    • Familiarity with digital marketing and fundraising strategies, tools, and best practices
    • Spanish-language fluency is preferred

Time commitment: 15 hours per week through December, with possibility of an extension. A monthly stipend will be provided.

    How to Apply:

To apply, please send a resume, cover letter, and two brief relevant writing samples (e.g., social media posts or a marketing piece) by September 15, 2025. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis, with preference given to early applicants.
