    Description

    This role supports college students in their career development through individualized coaching, résumé refinement, job search strategies, and facilitating career readiness workshops. It also fosters alumni engagement by coordinating networking events, mentorship opportunities, and maintaining alumni records and communications. Additionally, the position builds strategic partnerships with employers and tracks student and alumni outcomes to enhance programming and opportunities.

    Job Responsibilities

    Career Development Support

    • Assist college students with creating and refining résumés that align with industry standards.
    • Provide individualized career coaching, including career exploration, goal setting, and job search strategies.
    • Match students with job, internship, shadowing, and volunteer opportunities aligned with their interests and skills.
    • Facilitate career readiness workshops and events (e.g., résumé writing, interview preparation, LinkedIn, and networking skills).
    • Collaborate with College Completion Program staff to ensure seamless integration of career planning and academic support.
    • Track and report student participation and outcomes related to career development programming.
    • Monitor industry trends to update students on emerging career fields and required qualifications.
    • Develop and maintain a career resource library (e.g., toolkits, templates, guides).
    • Support the growth of strategic partnerships to improve access to internships, jobs, and career development events.
    • Coordinate employer engagement in mock interviews, job fairs, and info sessions.
    • Track partnership interactions and feedback to improve future collaboration.

    Alumni Engagement

    • Design and implement strategies to strengthen and expand the CollegeBound Foundation alumni association.
    • In collaboration with the CollegeBound Foundation Alumni Association board, plan and coordinate virtual and in-person alumni networking events and panels.
    • In collaboration with the CollegeBound Foundation College Completion Program, promote and manage mentorship opportunities between alumni and current students.
    • In collaboration with the College Completion and Development teams, maintain and update alumni records in the database, including contact information and engagement notes.
    • In collaboration with the CollegeBound Foundation Development Department, capture alumni success stories to highlight impact and build community pride.
    • Maintain the accuracy of the alumni association page on the website.
