    Description

    POSITION SUMMARY

Survivor Alliance is advancing a portfolio of work that strengthens collective survivor power and reimagines leadership in the anti-trafficking and anti-slavery field. The Collective Action Manager will catalyze and inspire action around an already co-created global vision for survivor leadership, working in deep partnership with survivors and allies around the world to drive collective momentum and impact. This work is rooted in organizing survivors and allies into a powerful, coordinated movement capable of shifting power dynamics, redefining leadership, and influencing the global anti-trafficking agenda.

Survivor Alliance believes that meaningful change requires collective action. For too long, the anti-trafficking sector has been dominated by top-down leadership driven by governments, multilateral bodies, and large INGOs, often sidelining the lived expertise of survivors. Rather than a grassroots social justice movement, the field remains highly professionalized and disconnected from the communities most impacted by exploitation. The Collective Action Manager will play a key role in challenging and disrupting this model, supporting the development of an inclusive, survivor-led movement that prioritizes intersectionality, equity, and systemic change.

The ideal candidate is a movement builder, someone with deep experience in community organizing, social justice work, or collective action, particularly in international or cross-cultural contexts. They are a collaborative and detail-oriented team member who supports the implementation of a shared vision for global change by contributing to both day-to-day tasks and broader strategic efforts. They thrive in dynamic environments, are values-driven, and are just as committed to how we do the work as they are to what we achieve.

    KEY QUALITIES AND SKILLS

    • A strong commitment to anti-oppression and intersectional practices
    • Deep belief in the power of lived experience as a catalyst for systemic change, with a demonstrated commitment to centering the voices and leadership of those most impacted
    • Experience supporting or leading survivor-led or social justice movements
    • The ability to build trust, foster relationships across differences, and hold space for complex conversations
    • High cultural humility and the capacity to work across languages, time zones, and access needs
    • Comfort managing both macro-level strategy and detailed implementation
    • Willingness to take on the logistical work required to create inclusive global convenings, including scheduling, translation/interpretation, and trauma-informed facilitation
    • A strong internal grounding and a willingness to continually grow, learn, and show up in authentic, supportive ways
    • Adaptability and creativity in navigating complex, evolving, or under-resourced environments without losing sight of long-term movement goals

The Collective Action Manager must be invested in co-creating spaces where survivors and allies can lead together, building community across perspectives, and driving collective change.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Global Facilitation: Facilitate in-person gatherings and workshops that bring together cross-cultural, multi-stakeholder groups in ways that are survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally respectful. This role will also lead the facilitation of global virtual meetings with diverse global audiences, including multilingual groups of survivor leaders, allies, and stakeholders. This includes setting the tone for inclusive, trauma-informed dialogue, designing participatory agendas, navigating power dynamics, and managing interpretation, support, and accessibility needs.

    Administrative (15%)
