    Job Description

    The Sponsorship Coordinator will be responsible for the overall running of the Sponsorship programme at EFTC, and will report directly to the Development Coordinator.

    Sponsors are responsible for a large portion of EFTC’s income, so retention and communication is paramount. The role includes communicating and interacting with existing sponsors and encouraging them to grow their engagement. The Coordinator should also try and attract new sponsors where possible. Working with the EFTC UK and US teams is essential to providing the best experience to sponsors.

    Key Responsibilities & Duties

    Communication

    • Contact prospective sponsors and provide all necessary details to become a sponsor.
    • Work with the Sponsorship Coordinator in the UK to ensure that communication with sponsors and donors is clear, effective and personalized.
    • Respond to any sponsor enquiries in a timely manner.
    • ​​Oversee all communications between sponsors and students.
    • Keep US and UK teams updated regarding sponsorship activities.

    Administration

    • Update and maintain all Sponsorship documents and spreadsheets.
    • Create monthly reports tracking Sponsorship programme data.
    • Translate material to support fundraising and sponsor programmes.
    • Track all donations, gifts, and sponsorship payments in CRM platform Salesforce.
    • Follow up with the Finance department regarding paused, canceled, or missing donations.

    Program Operations

    • Coordinate the bi-annual Letter Writing and Video Project for 700 students.
    • Organize and purchase gifts and food hampers for students sent by sponsors.
    • Plan and supervise visits of Sponsors to the School of Hope.
    • Work closely with Education and Scholarship teams to receive student updates, address emergency cases, and plan the Letter Writing and Video Projects.

    Fundraising and Outreach

    • Plan 1-2 annual sponsorship campaigns to recruit more sponsors.
    • Complete outreach to find new sponsors.
    • Develop fundraising and informative materials for prospective supporters.
    • Work with the Outreach Team on general fundraising initiatives in Guatemala, the US, and the UK.

    Required Skills

    • Fluent in English, intermediate Spanish
    • Experience working with children
    • Experience in donor engagement and/or customer service
    • Good command of technology, especially Google Drive
    • Efficient and effective communication skills
    • Able to juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities

    Desired Skills

    • Bilingual in English and Spanish
    • Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce) and Canva
