    Description

    Historic Stenton seeks a Development Associate to support its fundraising activities. Known as “Philadelphia’s most authentic historic house,” Stenton is a National Historic Landmark and museum that serves the neighborhoods of north and northwest Philadelphia through award-winning educational and community-driven programming.

    The Development Associate will work closely with the Board of Managers, Executive Director, and consultants to coordinate a capital campaign and annual development operations for Stenton. The Development Associate will support fundraising efforts by conducting research, identifying targets, writing memos and speaking points, drafting formal materials, maintaining outreach calendars, and assisting with the development and submission of grants. The Associate will also provide administrative support for cultivation events and meetings planned throughout the campaign.

    Candidates must demonstrate at least three years of fundraising or similar experience and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and donor database management. Candidates will ideally possess a bachelor's degree, be detail oriented, and can function diplomatically and cheerfully in a multi-task environment. Superior organizational and written and oral communication skills are essential.
