    Organization and Position Description

    ICIRR is an over 30-year-old coalition of 130 member organizations and allies. Membership is broad-based and includes community-organizing groups, ethnic associations, unions, refugee organizations, churches and mosques, school districts and community colleges, and direct service organizations that work with diverse immigrant communities. ICIRR builds power with our members through local, state, and federal grassroots organizing campaigns. It provides our members with organizing and advocacy strategy, training and technical assistance on issues affecting their respective immigrant constituents, and up-to-date information and policy analysis on immigrant- and refugee-related issues. ICIRR intentionally provides ongoing leadership development opportunities and organizing capacity building for our membership, builds community power, promotes citizenship and civic participation, monitors and analyzes immigrant-related laws and policies, and forms cross-ethnic and intersectional alliances to advance an equitable and pro-immigrant agenda throughout Illinois and the U.S. ICIRR is a justice organization serving vulnerable immigrant communities; excellence in pursuit of ICIRR's overall mission is expected of all employees.

    Position Summary

    Seeking an enthusiastic, well-organized, self-starter interested in maintaining the program’s database of a growing, exciting, diverse, hard-driving social justice organization by identifying and solving database requirements, supporting the users and providing subgrantees tech support.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identifies database requirements by analyzing the department’s applications, programming and operations, evaluating existing systems and designing proposed systems
    • Recommends solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications
    • Installs revised or new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts; recommending optimum access techniques; coordinating installation requirements
    • Implements new releases
    • Conducts user training
    • Keeps up to date on technical knowledge
    • Manage users’ accessibility
    • Provide technical assistance to all users
    • Manages data and eliminates errors and duplicates to ensure quality control
    • Identifies opportunities to improve analytical approaches
    • Customizes database as needed

    Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree or Technical School diploma
      • A minimum of four years of experience in database administration and management and providing technical support to all users
      • Experience with data mapping, migration and cleansing
      • Proficient understanding of Salesforce administration, including Salesforce lightning framework, Salesforce service cloud and Salesforce marketing cloud.
      • Understanding of Salesforce data model, including standard and custom objects, relationships and fields.
      • Excellent people skills and an upbeat, enthusiastic and positive attitude.
      • Strong experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel and PowerPoint
      • Experience with donor databases such as Apex, Visualforce, Salesforce is helpful
      • Ability to work well with committees and staff and in a culturally diverse environment
      • Ability to sustain workloads over extended periods during emergencies, special campaigns, holiday seasons and other situations
      • Sensitivity to confidential information and commitment to the highest level of integrity when exercising discretionary judgment
