    Description

We’re launching a community-based arts and crafts program that does more than just make stuff—it makes income. And we’re looking for the right person to lead it.

This role blends hands-on arts and crafts instruction with light entrepreneurship coaching. You'll teach children, youth and families impacted by incarceration how to create beautiful, functional, sellable items, and guide them in turning those skills into real gig work through platforms like Etsy, local pop-ups, and craft fairs.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Design and lead weekend art & craft workshops for children, youth and adults
    • Help participants develop products with real market potential
    • Provide guidance on pricing, packaging, Etsy setup, and basic sales strategies
    • Cultivate a joyful, welcoming space for creativity and economic empowerment
    • Support ongoing creation of sellable crafts, with materials provided by us
    • Collaborate with our team to identify sales channels and community events

    Who You Are:

    • A talented artist or crafter with a strong sense of design and quality
    • Familiar with selling on Etsy or similar platforms
    • Excited by the idea of helping others turn creative work into income
    • Skilled at working with adults and teens, with empathy and a sense of humor
    • Organized, resourceful, and down to experiment

    Nice to Have:

    • Past experience teaching or mentoring
    • Comfort with digital platforms and marketing basics
    • Belief in community care, second chances, and the magic of a good glue gun

This program is part art, part business, and part healing. If you’re someone who believes in the power of creativity and economic access, we’d love to have you help build this with us.
