Position Overview
The Operations Director at PALS Programs oversees all operational aspects of our camp, ensuring that each program runs smoothly from enrollment to execution. This individual will be the direct manager for several colleagues at different levels - from part-time Associate to full-time managers with their own teams. This role is critical to the success of our mission, providing leadership across various functions, managing the success and collaboration across multiple key areas, and ensuring an exceptional experience for all participants and staff. As PALS transitions to a new strategic plan, the Operations Director will begin leading regional staff teams, and will be a core component of this strategy.

Terms & Compensation
This is an exempt, full-time position according to the FLSA, with an expectation of approximately 40 hours/week and a salary range of $70,000 - $80,000. While PALS office hours are generally 9 am - 5 pm ET, work hours may vary depending on time and season. Occasionally, our young volunteer leaders meet with staff in the evening, or we host weekend events, and employees are encouraged to flex their time to accommodate these needs.
The employee will work remotely and is expected to have a dedicated workspace for phone calls, video conferences, and independent work. This position will require travel to at least three weeks of programming on location during the summer months and should be prepared for on-site emergency and on-call support. PALS will provide the employee with a laptop, a generous PTO policy, monthly reimbursement for internet/phone, and a monthly reimbursement for healthcare premiums.
PALS is a fully remote team and this position may live anywhere in the country, with a strong preference for residing in our core PALS regions (CA, OH, IL, and the east coast from MA to DC).
