Summary of Position: The Development Manager is responsible for managing After School Matters’ annual giving program in conjunction with the Director of Development. This includes managing the solicitation and stewardship for prospects and renewals for annual fund gifts including gala sponsorships, board member giving, and individual giving. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Manager is also responsible for the management and success of ASM’s Associate Board while also designing, creating, and executing new and innovative strategies for direct mail and digital appeals that increase grassroots and lower-level individual giving support.
This is a full-time position and manages the Development Coordinator position.

Compensation: $70,000 - 75,000 salary, depending on applicable experience and education

ASM offers paid apprenticeships led by professionals in the fields of arts, communications and leadership, sports, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Programs take place at community locations throughout the city, including three ASM buildings: downtown at Gallery 37 Center for the Arts, the Michael and Karyn Lutz Center in Belmont Cragin, and the Pullman community at Gately Park. Currently, After School Matters’ annual operating budget is approximately $35M and employs approximately 500 staff across the organization.
