About Us:
Dori Saves Lives is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to traffic safety education
and advocacy across Florida. Since 2004, we’ve pushed for life-saving
legislation, launched public awareness campaigns, and visited schools to
educate thousands of students about the real-life consequences of distracted,
impaired, and aggressive driving. Visit us at: www.dorisaveslives.org
The Opportunity:
We're seeking a well-connected, purpose-driven fundraiser with ties to business owners, philanthropists, and civic leaders in South Florida. You’ll work closely with our Chairman—a former State Representative and traffic safety advocate—on growing our donor base and sponsorship partnerships.
Your role is to help protect the community by raising support for programs like:
• School assemblies featuring our “This Could Be You” documentary (interviews with incarcerated offenders who killed while driving)
• Traffic safety videos with corporate sponsorship
• Signage for school pickup zones (e.g., “No Texting – It’s the Law”)
• Bright yellow vests for teachers and crossing guards
• Licensing of the Dori Saves Lives brand for community partners
Responsibilities:
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and business leaders
• Secure funding and sponsorships for educational assemblies, outreach campaigns, and public signage
• Promote opportunities for businesses to sponsor branded materials and community visibility
• Assist with donor communications, thank-you outreach, and reporting
• Collaborate with the Chairman on strategy and event opportunities
• Optional: Help build a licensing/donor program around the “Dori Saves Lives” brand
Requirements:
• Must live in the Boca Raton area and have some in-person availability
• Strong existing network of business/philanthropic contacts in South Florida
• Proven experience in nonprofit, political, or campaign fundraising
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a mission-driven team
• Organized, reliable, and aligned with our cause
Compensation:
• $25/hour
• 5 hours/week in our Boca Raton office, 15 hours remote
• Quarterly performance bonuses awarded based on new donor engagement, partnership outcomes, and revenue milestones
Why This Role Matters:
• You’ll be part of a mission to save lives—not just raise money
• You’ll help expand a trusted Florida nonprofit with deep legislative roots
• You’ll gain visibility working with schools, community leaders, and traffic safety advocates
• Your work will directly fund education that protects students, drivers, and pedestrians
How to Apply:
Please send your resume and a short note about your community connections and
interest in this cause to Fldotsmvp@gmail.com.
