The Communications + Special Events Manager or Specialist plays a crucial role at Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits (SVCN). This role is responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive communications strategy that amplifies SVCN’s mission and voice, while also leading the planning and execution of our largest annual fundraising event, Be Our Guest. This position ensures that SVCN’s messaging resonates across a diverse audience and drives engagement and support for the organization’s initiatives to strengthen the local nonprofit sector and promote equity across communities.
SVCN is open to candidates at the Manager or Specialist level, depending on experience. Please indicate which position aligns best with your background in your letter of intent. Currently, SVCN expects staff to be in the office two days a week.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to a small yet influential organization. The position is based in San José, California. SVCN’s team works in a hybrid capacity, working in the office at the Sobrato Nonprofit Center and from home.
