    POSITION AVAILABLE

    PART-TIME KANE EVICTION MEDIATION PROGRAM ASSISTANT (Hybrid)

    Resolution Systems Institute operates an eviction mediation program serving tenants and landlords in northern Illinois. We are seeking a Program Assistant to assist the staff team serving parties on the front line in Kane County, Illinois until July 15, 2026.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist program staff with intake of program participants, and direct them to appropriate services.

    • Contact program participants to explain the mediation process and refer to partner social service agencies
    • Act as the personal touchpoint for program parties, providing individuals in vulnerable situations the resources and attention they require
    • Schedule mediation appointments with parties and neutrals
    • Format, enter and maintain accurate data and information in case management software
    • Report to the Eviction Mediation Programs Manager on day-to-day functioning of the program
    • Help parties navigate technical issues to ensure they can fully participate
    • Support outreach efforts to improve awareness and use of mediation programs
    • Attend weekly remote staff meetings
    • Attend in-person weekly court and office hours at 100 S. 3rd St, Geneva, IL

    QUALIFICATIONS: We hope to hire someone who has experience with housing and/or crisis intervention work.

    Minimum requirements for this position are:

    • At least 1 year of experience in a related field, such as legal services or direct services, or in customer service, retail, outreach, and/or sales
    • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines while maintaining strong communication and attention to detail
    • Ability to juggle multiple tasks amid evolving priorities and interruptions
    • Comfort working with Zoom and other standard office software, including Microsoft and Google suites
    • Experience communicating with vulnerable populations

    We strongly prefer someone who is local to the Kane County area and who speaks Spanish.

    We would prefer someone who:

    • Has experience with case management, recordkeeping, electronic document sharing and electronic signature software, such as DocuSign.

    SALARY AND BENEFITS: The Program Assistant is a part-time position working no more than 10 hours/week at $23/hour. Part-time employees are eligible for paid holiday, vacation, and sick time. This is a hybrid position, and preference may be given to candidates located in or around Kane County, IL. This position is grant-funded through July 15, 2026.
