    About BC2M

    Bring Change to Mind (BC2M) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating dialogue around mental health, and to raising awareness, understanding, and empathy. In 2015, BC2M launched its free, evidence-based, student-led Club Program with 25 schools in California. Over the last ten years, BC2M Clubs have expanded across the US, operating in 42 states, 540+ high schools, and 80 middle schools, empowering over 100,000 students to take a proactive approach to their mental health. BC2M Clubs encourage students to foster meaningful mental health conversations, create a network of peer support within their school communities, build resilience, gain knowledge, and learn how to access resources to support their mental health.

    The BC2M Indiana Region is one of the largest regions in the country with over 3,500 passionate teens and tweens leading the charge in their communities. In Fall 2025, we will partner with 150 schools across the state, empowering and amplifying the voices of their students.

    Summary of Position

    The Indiana Program Associate will support high school mental health clubs across the state by building strong school relationships, uplifting student voices, and helping bring new community partnerships and events to life. This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Sr. Indiana Manager.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Club and Region Management

    • Independently support and manage a portfolio of BC2M high school school clubs (primarily virtually, with select in-person engagement) to successfully implement the BC2M program model.
    • Empower student leaders to be drivers of change in their school community by helping them set and achieve actionable goals, celebrating their strengths, and supporting the development of their leadership skills.
    • Hold introductory calls with prospective clubs and guide them through the onboarding process.
    • Identify opportunities to elevate the voice of student leaders as advocates for mental health in the Indiana community.
    • Play an active role in the Indiana team in helping to achieve the goals for the region.
    • Implement culturally responsive practices in high-needs and Equal Opportunity Schools and share learnings regularly with the Sr. Indiana Manager.
    • Consistently collect and track critical data points about club demographics, activities, and support provided via resources such as Salesforce, Google sheets.

    Outreach and Community Engagement

    • Deliver engaging presentations about the BC2M High School Program to students, educators, and community partners across diverse settings.
    • Participate in regional partnership and community engagement activities, in coordination with the Indiana team.

    Program Development, Content Creation, and Event Planning

    • Support the planning and implementation of regional events, including BC2M’s Annual Student Summits.
    • Provide feedback based on experience supporting clubs to help continually improve our program.
    • Actively contribute to team discussions and help bring new ideas to life in our student-facing materials.

    Additional Expectations:

    • Support cross-regional projects and national initiatives as requested by the BC2M HQ team.
    • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
    • Ability to travel to schools and events when needed.

    • Communication - Strong written and verbal communications skills, comfort communicating with young people and ability to adapt communication style for various audiences; comfort with public speaking and persuasive communication
    • Youth-Centered - Adept at recognizing and amplifying youth voice. Encourages youth input, listens openly, and shares their ideas.
    • Self Driven and Dependable - Comfortable working independently and efficiently in remote environment, identifies and acts on opportunities
    • Cultural Competency - Aware of and sensitive to diverse backgrounds; comfortable implementing inclusive practices
    • Organization - Ability to manage multiple priorities, track details, and follow through on tasks to meet deadlines.

    Minimum qualifications and requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience in related field preferred
    • Passion for supporting youth mental health and drive to achieve meaningful impact on youth across Indiana
    • Meaningful experience with youth required
    • Three professional references
    • Lives in Indiana
    • Valid driver's license and access to a car
