Position Summary:
The Career & Engagement Manager is responsible for leading Generation Hope’s Career Readiness Program and overseeing the Community Engagement team, which is responsible for recruiting new Scholars, mentors, and volunteers. This role has ultimate accountability over the organization’s success in meeting career-readiness goals for teen parents in the DC Scholar Program as well as meeting recruitment targets. The Career & Engagement Manager works closely with the Director of DC Programming to continuously improve the processes, function, and outcomes of the Career Readiness program. They also represent Generation Hope to nonprofit partners, students, donors and various other constituent groups. The Career & Engagement Manager should have a solid track record in working with youth and children, a background in career advising and volunteer recruitment, strategic planning skills, outstanding customer service, strong professionalism and relationship-building skills. They must have a demonstrated interest in serving students with low income.
