    About the Role

The Work Meaningful Foundation is a values-driven nonprofit committed to creating equitable access to education for under-resourced communities. We’re currently seeking a proactive, organized, and mission-aligned Executive Assistant & Impact Coordinator to support the founder and oversee key program logistics that make our work possible.

This is a hybrid role: you’ll serve as a right-hand to our CEO, Justin Jones-Fosu, while also helping coordinate the day-to-day operations and events that drive the mission forward. From managing travel and communication to supporting our AfroCareCLT Gala, Wine & Wonder Fundraiser, and Tech Lab campaign—you’ll help shape our growing impact.

    Key Responsibilities

    Executive Assistant (Work. Meaningful.)

    • Manage calendar scheduling, virtual meeting logistics, and appointments across time zones
    • Coordinate all domestic and international travel logistics, including itineraries, flights, and accommodations
    • Assist with email and inbox organization, file management, and internal communications
    • Prepare meeting agendas and notes, follow up on assigned action items, and help keep projects moving forward
    • Format reports, presentations, and documents for both internal and external audiences

    Impact Coordination (Work Meaningful Foundation)

    • Coordinate logistics for Foundation events including:
      • AfroCareCLT Cultural Gala
      • Wine & Wonder Fundraiser
      • Board Retreat
      • Future initiatives and campaigns
    • Schedule and support Foundation Board meetings, track minutes and action steps
    • Support fundraising activities, donor communications, and project reporting
    • Help manage timelines for ongoing initiatives such as the $30,000 Technology Lab campaign and the upcoming two-story elementary school, which will provide access for 300 students currently unable to attend school
    • Serve as a point of contact for volunteers, vendors, and community partners
    • Provide administrative and operational support across the Foundation's programs

What Makes You a Great Fit

    • You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy managing multiple moving parts
    • You have a heart for purpose-driven work and thrive in small, entrepreneurial environments
    • You communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and in person
    • You’re flexible and reliable, with a strong sense of personal ownership and discretion
    • You bring both initiative and follow-through to your work
    • You’re comfortable working independently, while also collaborating closely with leadership and teams

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 2+ years of administrative or project coordination experience (nonprofit, education, or entrepreneurial environments are a plus)
    • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Canva, and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Airtable, Trello)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Familiarity with donor communication, basic reporting, or light social media coordination is a bonus
    • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
