    Program Overview

    ICIC is a national partner on Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB), a program designed to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity by providing access to education, capital, and business support services. ICIC is responsible for managing and advising on outreach, application, and selection processes across all locations.

    Position Summary

    The Program Associate will provide project management, analytical, technological, and process-related support for the 10,000 Small Businesses program. In addition to leading and promoting our strategic advising work with selected program sites, the Program Associate will also be asked to identify creative methods for optimizing current processes and implementing new processes, within programmatic guidelines. The Program Associate reports to the Deputy Director of the Business Transformation Team.

    This role offers opportunities for increased responsibility and exposure to external stakeholders, including the Goldman Sachs Foundation and Babson College, the program’s education partner program.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Management of 10KSB Sites (40%)

    • Coordinate and manage outreach, recruitment, application, and selection with external partners at multiple program sites.
    • Develop small business recruitment strategies based on program data, market research, and best practices.
    • Manage complex partner relationships with program site teams and Goldman Sachs Foundation staff.
    • Analyze data on small business applicants and participants and present key findings to funder and program partners.
    • Oversee Salesforce administration for three 10KSB locations, including user maintenance, generation of key reports and dashboards, serving as point of contact on platform-related troubleshooting requests, and implementing feedback on system improvements as needed

    Selection of 10KSB Applicants (30%)

    • Participate in the evaluation and selection process for program applicants, including facilitation of interviews with program applicants and site partners.
    • Manage program contact management systems and internal Salesforce database.

    Travel (15%)

    • Travel to local 10KSB sites to interview candidates for the program
    • Attend conferences and sponsored partner events to promote the program

    ICIC Committee Support (15%)

    • Serve on an ICIC internal committee

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate is a highly organized self-starter with experience providing data analysis, outreach support, and relationship management while managing multi-stakeholder partnerships. They are inspired by the work that we do at ICIC and passionate about supporting small businesses.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any relevant field and 3-4 years of work experience OR 5+ years of relevant work experience, with some prior experience in program management, communications, capacity building, or partnership-based work
    • Knowledge of economic development and small business operations is strongly preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
    • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Strong organizational and prioritization skills and a keen attention to detail
    • Professional communication skills for interacting with both internal and external stakeholders
    • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks concurrently while managing competing demands
    • Collaborative, solutions-oriented team player who enjoys working with colleagues across the organization
    • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% annually (travel may increase with time in position)
