    Description

    The American Association for Justice (AAJ) works to preserve the constitutional right to trial by jury and to make sure people have a fair chance to seek justice when they are injured by the negligence or misconduct of others—even when it means taking on the most powerful corporations.

    AAJ is seeking a Director of Business Systems for its Membership department. The Director of Business Systems is responsible for the management of AAJ’s CRM, NetForum and other integrated systems that support business operations. The Director is responsible for the day-to-day management, optimization, and support of AAJ’s NetForum Association Management System (AMS). This role ensures data accuracy, system usability, and user satisfaction by configuring modules, managing data, supporting staff, and coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders.

    Essential Duties Include (but not limited to):

    • Own and manage day-to-day operations in Netforum ensuring alignment across all internal departments.
    • Independently manage and continue to improve the CRM to prioritize enhancements, respond to interdepartmental needs, and deliver timely updates to stakeholders and leadership.
    • Analyze existing workflows, identifying areas for improvement and designing solutions within NetForum to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Design and deploy custom dashboards to improve business processes.
    • Strong communicator with vision related to business practices and systems optimization.
    • Develop and execute a strategic plan for the membership database to enhance overall business operations and automation strategies.
    • Work with AAJ teams to gather and document functional and technical requirements.
    • Analyze requirements from membership and other stakeholders to determine the best use solutions.
    • Support configuration and setup of NetForum modules based on business needs.
    • Support managing NetForum upgrades, patches, and new feature implementations.
    • Perform data analysis supporting data integrity across the system.
    • Identify gaps in system functionality and propose enhancements.
    • Develop reports and dashboards using NetForum reporting tools.
    • Supports data migrations and integrations with third party systems.
    • Supports IT with managing users’ requests, prioritizes requirements and assists with the drafting of clearly defined deliverables.
    • Support and assist in the development of Membership reports.
    • Act as a liaison with IT and all internal and external stakeholders to prioritize business and project issues and escalations.
    • Support IT with test plans and user acceptance testing (UAT) for system changes.
    • Document Membership business processes, workflows, and system configurations.
    • Train end users on Membership Database best practices and new functionalities.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computer science, or information systems management.
    • Previous experience with Associations and/or Non-Profit IT background preferred.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in association membership operations and/or business systems design or related experience.
    • Experience with membership modules such as Accounting, Admin, Awards, CMS, Committee, CRM, eMarketing, Events, Fundraising, Inventory, Membership Reports, Subscriptions, and Toolkit. NetForum experience is highly desirable.
    • Strong knowledge of NetForum configuration and workflows.
    • Familiarity with SQL, reporting tools, and system integrations.
    • Familiarity with basic HTML and experience in or ability to build, maintain, and edit NetForum eWeb forms and eWeb pages.
    • Experience with API-based integrations and third-party applications is strongly preferred.
    • Experience in interviewing business users, collecting and interpreting requirements, and explaining the solution details to the business audience.
    • Requires strong customer service and people skills and the ability to work across departments.
    • Creative problem-solving abilities and dedication to improving member experience and operational efficiency.

    Salary Range: $121,300- $150,000
