    Description

    Grant Contractor Summary:

    The New York Genealogical and Biographical Society (NYG&B) is seeking to engage a contract Grant Researcher. The contractor will identify potential funding opportunities, develop proposals, and support the NYG&B in securing and managing grants.

    Key Deliverables:

    • Identify at least 10 new grant funding opportunities per month aligned with the NYG&B’s mission and existing fundraising strategy.
    • Review, edit, and finalize each document for submission on a timely basis.
    • Write, submit, and manage grant proposals, including the maintenance of a grants calendar for the organization.
    • Submit at least two proposals or funding reports per week
    • Maintain and expand the data management of government and private funders in NeonCRM and on Trello.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of grant writing and management experience with demonstrable successes.
    • Highly organized and experienced in building and managing systems.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to write clearly and informatively; ability to adapt writing styles to meet specific funder needs

    Compensation:

    • Contracted rate of $50 per hour.
    • Minimum of 25 hours per month, maximum of 50 hours per month.
