    Description

    Program Coordinators are the connection point to year round OLC programming, and the glue to relationships with players, families, and school stakeholders. This person will act as the key intermediary for helmet high school (HHS) youth and families, providing and exchanging information, questions, concerns, and following up with all parties to ensure strong working relationships in our community and access to OLC programs and services.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Recruit players, families, and coaches to participate in current and future programs and events, and become OLC Members and Spring Team Players
    • Manage Outreach Contact and Communications for Summer and Fall OLC Members and prospective Spring players. In Spring manage Spring Team Communications and Contact info for HHS teams assigned to (2-3 MAX)
    • Working closely with Program Managers & Directors to plan, prep, organize, finalize, implement, facilitate, review and strategize around seasonal and year round OLC Programs, Services and Events.
    • Create and sustain a strong positive working relationship with school staff and stakeholders on campus(es) to promote integration of OLC into school campuses
    • Support Coaches to take on the full Coaching workload in season, and fill in for them if they are absent, or otherwise unable to do all of their tasks
    • Using and maintaining internal and external registration systems, data collection, and evaluation tools as set by OLC Directors and Managers. Specifically sending & gathering registration forms, tracking attendance data, distributing and collecting surveys or participation forms as applicable

    SKILLSETS OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

    • Commitment to equity and social justice in youth sports, and demonstrates high level of self-awareness and humility alongside persistence in working through and around barriers so all players can participate
    • Excellent communication skills. The ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals from youth to parents to school staff and community partners. Using email, in person visits, phone calls and texts to achieve connection and positive outcomes
    • 1-2 years experience in at least one of these areas: Lacrosse, Coaching, or Youth Development setting where group management skills were needed
